What is the conflict index in astrology

The conflict index is a formalized mathematical compatibility criterion developed by academician S. V. Shestopalov (SPbAA). According to long-term statistical studies of thousands of married couples, the direct culprits of uncontrollable destructive scandals, outbreaks of aggression and divorce are tense aspects (conjunctions, squares, oppositions) between four specific “conflict planets” in the charts of partners: Mars, Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter. All other planets (Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury) create resentment or misunderstandings, but do not lead to physical breakup. The conflict index summarizes the number of such tense ties and shows the objective level of emotional security of the union.

Practical Guide

Gradations and levels of conflict in a couple

1. Zero conflict (0 aspects)

An absolutely peaceful union: the partners are physically incapable of fighting fiercely with each other, any disputes die out on their own.

2. Moderate conflict (1–2 aspects)

A healthy norm for living relationships: outbreaks of disputes are rare, controlled and quickly end in a constructive truce.

3. Increased conflict (3 aspects)

Sensitive tension zone: regular disputes for leadership and rightness, requiring high awareness and pauses from both partners when passions become intense.

4. Critical conflict (4+ aspects)

High explosiveness of the union: fundamental reluctance to give in, mutual stubbornness and escalation of quarrels, requiring separate space and work with a psychologist.

Calculation of the conflict index in Astroprognostic

Astroprognostic integrates an accurate algorithm for calculating conflict. The system scans the inter-aspects of conflicting planets with a strict orbit of up to 5°, determines the type of planetary pair (Mars-Pluto - a war of will, Saturn-Jupiter - a dispute between authorities and principles), calculates the total speed and displays a clear visual color scale for the security of relationships.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Jupiter considered a conflict planet in this technique?

Jupiter in tense aspects gives indignation, wounded pride, arrogance and slamming doors (“you can’t do that with me!”). When paired with Mars or Pluto, it inflates the conflict to the scale of legal wars.

Does a high conflict index mean an inevitable breakup?

No. Astrology indicates energy dynamics. Couples with high conflict levels can maintain a union for decades if they share spheres of influence, engage in extreme sports or business together, or do not spend 24/7 time in a confined space.
