Solar (lat. revolutio solaris, solar return) is a prognostic astrological chart that is calculated at the exact astronomical moment when the transiting Sun returns to the same zodiac coordinate (degree, minute and second of arc) where it was at the time of a person’s birth. This moment occurs once a year around the birthday (give or take one day) and lays the event frame, themes and focuses of attention for the entire upcoming individual year - from one birthday to the next. The solar is read as an independent chart and is necessarily compared with the natal by overlaying the houses.
How to Read and Interpret a Solar Chart
1. Solar Ascendant (Asc solar)
